About Me

“The struggles will become your story, and that’s the beauty of Kintsugi. Your cracks can become the most beautiful part of you.” – Candice Kumai

Welcome, I'm so glad you found your way here! It takes a lot of courage to admit you're feeling overwhelmed and could benefit from therapy. Whether you're navigating challenges in cultural or spiritual identity, starting first, second or third+ careers, feeling stress and isolation, experiencing relational or family conflict, grieving the death of a loved one, or a range of other experiences, I'd love the opportunity to hear your story and come alongside you as a supportive resource in your journey towards wellness.

I specialize in working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks. Together, we can begin to manage the stresses and transitions of your lived experience. I'm here to listen, reflect and unpack with you some of what is getting you stuck. I also have training in integrating expressive arts in the therapy space by offering art, music/sound, dance/body movement or writing/storytelling as modalities that can help process beyond words or bring about healing and restoration. Let's discover together what would be most helpful to you.

My therapeutic framework centers an anti-oppression, intersectional, multicultural and queer affirming lens. I invite you to reach out so we can create brave space to holistically explore what's affecting you emotionally, physically, psychologically, spiritually, socially, and mentally. When I'm not therapist-ing it up, I love to create, try new foods, be in nature, and spend time connecting with family & friends. Looking forward to connecting with you!

Education and Training

I received my BA in Psychology and English at the University of Colorado at Boulder and my MA in Pastoral Care and Counseling-Clinical Track at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. I completed a two-year clinical internship at the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago and have been in private practice since 2020. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #LH61441930) in the state of Washington and commit to continuing my training, development and learning in order to decolonize mental health and center marginalized experiences in the therapeutic space. Currently, I am part of NWCEAI’s professional training program for expressive arts therapy.

Fees

Please email or call me for more information about fees and to schedule an initial appointment. I offer a free, 20 minute consultation via telehealth to give you a sense of what it might be like to work together and if you think we’ll be a good fit for your therapeutic process. While I’m out of network with insurance providers, I can provide you with invoices that might be eligible for partial or full reimbursement depending on your plan. If you’re a student or someone experiencing financial difficulty, I hold a limited availability of reduced fee openings in my caseload.
